Poem: Arrival (K)

Stood at the station
Waiting for you
Checking the time
The coach is soon due
My hearts a-pounding
My tummy's doing flips
My whole bodies shaking
From my legs to my lips

I'm so very excited
I'm in quite a state
I'm jumping about
And I really can't wait
So I leave the station
Walk done the coach's route
Hoping to steal an early glance
At my girl so cute

Now as I keep on walking
My eyes fixed on the street
all my minds focused
On the moment when we'll meet
And as I keep on staring
I see a familiar face
On the coach thats just past me
And my heart really starts to race

I move my legs as fast as they go
To catch up with the bus
We both reach the station together
Me and you as us
And then the coach doors open
And then I wait a while
Before you're stood before me
And I can't help but smile

And then you take a glance at me
And then to smile too
And then you run towards me
And sweetheart I run too
As as we reach each other
I feel you so near
And then we hug so tightly
It's so good to have you here
