Poem: Home Once Again (K)

Together again
For a whole seven days
My love and me
In a joyful haze
Spending afternoons
Out in the sun
Or inside together
Just having fun

Going out on adventures
Through my country town
And going to the movies
Seeing as she's down
Just making the most
Of all of our time
She's finally back at her home
And so I'm at mine

So we play our games
On cards and on screen
And we hold each other tight
Through our week long dream
With a million dollars to win
And Pokemon to catch
It just feels like we're
A perfect match

And we move from our TV
To a screen of silver
Cuddled up on a sofa
For the first time in forever
Feeling my heart beat
Your head on my chest
You hear it beat faster
So long as you are my guest

Cause with you here I'm at peace
But I'm also excited
It's how I always feel
When you and I are united
And I feel oh so happy
And I love it oh so much
I love having your smile to see
And your fingers to touch

And I just can't wait
To do it all again
Away in our new home
With my partner and friend
