Here at the gallery Enjoying the scene Of art so very foreign Wild and serine
Paintings that are weathered From five hundred years rain Battered and bruised Yet still beautifully stained
Crumbled statues of old gods So carefully created And recreations of grand temples Still stunning though desecrated
It's a glorious collection Of art from far away Every single last painting Worthy of its display
But the most wondrous of sights The most beautiful piece of art Is the girl stood beside me Who has captured my heart
The way she observes the exhibit With a curious fascination Her desire for pure knowledge From every faucet of creation
The way she lights up When she discovers something new With a smile so warm It makes me light up too
She doesn't do it the feel smart Or to prove herself right Just to learn something new Fills her with delight
And now I want so much To go on adventures with her So we discover Even more wonders together
