'The best song I've ever heard and possibly the second sweetest sound

I'm very bored (3 free lessons in a row, ugh) so I've taken to annotating some song lyrics
So I've had the same favourite song since 2006, 2006! And before that I'd had the same favourite song for as long as I could remember. So even I was a little surprised when after eight years on the throne you can come swaning in and, in ten minutes topple the throne and put your own song on there.
Seeing as it is my favourite ever song now (sorry 'whistle for the choir') I figure I should return the favour you gave me and tell you what the words mean to me. Some lyrics are a little different as they need to be.

Timid as I am instinct made me wanna run, but I messaged you all the same and I ain't ever gonna run from you now.

An adventure, that's a good way of putting it. A sense of fear and of wonder. This line also takes me to my dream world.

This is one of two things I suppose. When Im at school (especially on Mondays and Thursdays) I'm often just waiting for the minutes to tick away and for 4:30 to come. There's also me waiting for you in the Long run

You make me want to be brave , I find a lot of strength in the knowledge you're there.

I think of all those 'friends' and bullies that have been and gone. Crushes that faded with time. I'll always feel this way for you though no matter how long we'll be here for

Despite the distance you've affected my life greatly. You once said if we stopped talking you'd eventually move on, well I know I wouldn't because without you Sam Whale wouldn't be the person I am. 'Perfect day' has a line 'you made me forget myself, I thought I was someone else, someone good' well, that's what you've done

What's below? Depression I suppose (it's an apt metaphor) but that's where it is now, far below

All that you've said here is very true but I see a little more in this line. Cause the world will end but even if it does this wouldn't end, this feeling. (I also like the idea of you holding my hand quite a lot )
