I thought if share a dream with you today
It was June 13th and I had been invited to a gig by Tom an Pats older brother (note all of that actually happened). There was almost a hundred people invented most of whom I didn't know and those who I did, well there are 9 couples in the group now and they were all gonna be drinking an dancing together. I really didn't want to be the 17th wheel. So, you came down here so we could spend the night together.
My mum was with me at the bus stop in Barnstaple and when you arrived and took your bags back to mine (bringing them into a club wouldn't be the best move I don't think). That's when we hugged; it was a long hug cause neither of us wanted to stop. After a minute we let go and, hand in hand, I took you to the club where everyone was.
In the club it was dark, with neon lights covering a vast dancehall which lead to the stage where the band was playing. The bar was to the left and there were tables to the right, not that we could see them, the place was packed! Social anxiety was stating to get to me so you gave me a little cuddle and staged me over to a table that Tom and Pat's brother (conner, as writin 'Tom and pats brother is gonna get annoying) saved for us. On the table were two J20's I'd bought for us and we sat and drank and chatted while the world danced around us. It was really nice, being there with you, but I still wanted to dance.
It was then that Conner returned with more drinks, but not J20's. He had two cans of cider, one Apple and one dark berry (which is probably my favourite). He gave them both to me and I passed the apple one to you. I said 'nostrovia' and we both took a sip. You didn't like it one bit, you pulled a super cute face and I chuckled a little. We swapped drinks and you tried the berry one. You pulled the face again, but only a little bit, and this time you drank a whole mouthful. We both smiled and then we kissed, just a little one, before drinking the whole can.
In my head you're a light weight and was made just a little tipsy by that one can. You were giggling even more than ever and now you wanted to dance. At that moment the band started to play killers song ('somebody told me' great dance track ) and you took my hand and we walked to the dance hall. It was crazy and sporadic but it was dancing all right but a few hours later and a couple more drinks too it was time to go home.
On the bus home you were still giggling and talking but you slowly started to drift off (it was midnight which tipsy or not is your bedtime) when we got off the bus I put you on my back and by the time we made it home you were fast asleep.
I took you down the stairs, took off your jacket and put you down on my bed. I tucked you in and gave you a kiss on the forehead before saying 'goodnight sweetheart' and waking up myself with a big grin on my face.
