The lights go out stars start to fall On the day she shuts down The only dance hall
Suits start to crease And dust covers them As they sit untouched Never worn to dance again
And the dresses they fade From summer blue to winter grey Never to feel his hold Or to hear his voice say
That he built the dance hall For him and for her So he could take her dancing And move as one in a blur
But now the dance halls closed And the city starts to fall As he leaves behind their third place And leaves behind his dance hall
